I love substack. Opening this app immediately fills me with a surge of optimism, envisioning a future where I can write professionally and build more and more meaningful relationships. I’ve been toying with a few article ideas and I need your advice and motivation to get the ball rolling. Can you drop a vote of which you would like to see immediately? Which one makes you recoil in disgust? Do they all bore you out of your mind? Did you forget you were even reading a list because you would actually like to double click and read all of these right this second?
My sister recommended I begin taking submissions in an anonymous Dear Maggie style. Similar to how substack sparks my joy, her idea ignited me. I read “Dear Abby” in The Chicago Sun-Times religiously growing up. I dreamed of my photo replacing hers one day (that feels wrong typing out). Let’s get your vote and note:

I’m Glad He Warned You About Me
I just found this title sitting in my drafts and it made me laugh. I wonder what this is actually about…
Fireworks Have To End
Dating Advice from The Dentist Office (Alt: Free Therapy from the Dentist Chair)
I love Monday minis but they have also become a strange marker of my ailing memory. I need to restart taking some fish pills and maybe completing sudoku workbooks to ensure my brain is activated to retain what I did the last 7 days…
Something that…
Made me cry - Holding my best friend in my arms while she cried. There is nothing like the pain of a person you love deeply hurting deeply.
Made me laugh - I went camping for the first time this weekend. It was incredible. All this talk about being a city girl is overrated. I’m ready for more time in the wilderness and time spent hugging trees.
Timmy, James and I, found ourselves hauling a ridiculous amount of gear to the ferry. We were going to have to swim to shore and deliver our 12 articles of luggage safely and dryly to land. The rainy mist that came out of nowhere was not going to help the cause. We began to discuss the potential of the weekend being Fyre Fest 2.0. Fear, confusion, and the unexpected had us laughing hysterically while we waited in line for our ferry ride to Catalina. Photo evidence above of our successful rave in the wild.
Surprisingly made me feel nothing at all - Is it time to officially update this to made me spend some time in thought?
Made me spend some time in thought - Here’s a few things from the past week:
Sitting a table over from Paul McCartney at Nobu on Friday night.
Hand rolls from Kazu are better than Nobu.
Ray LaMontagne is 51 years old.
That it’s been 20 years since Trouble. What?
Timmy falling asleep at Ray LaMontagne, who does that?
I’m now going to think about that link above and how someone from YouTube would like it to be a YouTube Music link instead.
Similar, but different, Channel Tres thanking Apple and not YouTube after our Foundry set Tuesday Night.
The Debate.
The lead singer of Stolen Gin graduating in 2023.
Planning a trip to Korea with Timmy.
